Gisteren zijn er tijdens Eurosonic Noorderslag de European Festival Awards 2018 uitgereikt. Verrassend genoeg wint het Deense Roskilde festival de award van ‘Line-Up Of The Year’. Wacken Open Air kan zich dan weer een jaar lang ‘Best Major Festival’ noemen en Northside is het ‘Best Medium-sized Festival’.
Dit jaar vallen er geen Belgische winnaars te bespeuren, maar in Nederland krijgt Peter Smidt (Eurosonic Noorderslag) een ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’, DGTL Amsterdam krijgt de ‘Green Operations Award’ en MOJO Concerts is de ‘Promoter Of The Year’.
